For the Fall/Winter 2024 season, London Fashion Week brought out some of the most talked about recent shoe releases. Sneakers continue to be the footwear of choice for a busy week of going from show-to-show.
In terms of sneaker staples, the Salomon XT-6 still proves to be a fan favorite for versatile wear and ever-changing weather conditions. The gorpcore aesthetic is still one that is popular, also evident in the other outdoor-focused footwear like the Nike ACG Mountain Fly GORE-TEX. Nike prevails as the Nike x Martine Rose collaboration for the Shox MR4 continues to be a popular shoe choice amongst streetwear aficionados. It comes as no surprise as Martine Rose is a London Talent who won British menswear Designer of the Year last year. In other Nike collaborations, the ever popular COMME des GARÇONS HOMME PLUS x Nike Air Foamposite One, noticeable for its three-dimensional ripple pattern used across the forefoot and midfoot and the Jacquemus collaboration on the Force 1 Low LX also made an appearance. The newly arrived Nike Air Max DN which arrived as a part of the Swoosh's Air Max Day festivities.
New Balance silhouettes like the 2002R Protection Pack and the 1906R were popular while ASICS and Cecile Bahnsen's was a collaboration to highlight on the ground.
