Original Story: There are still eight months left to get through in 2023, but we're already getting a peek behind the curtain into what Jordan Brand is planning to release from its retro category next year. After exploring its 2006 archives, the Jumpman team has hand-picked the Air Jordan 5 "Olive" colorway to make its return to the market in 2024.
This installment was originally launched as part of Jordan Brand's lifestyle series (LS) and was accompanied by matching apparel. It's one of the earliest non-original Air Jordan 5 colorways and will be reincarnated with all of its signature details. Taking on a militaristic type of motif, the base layer of the kicks will be fitted buttery suede panels that are soaked in their titular shade. Laces and eyestays are done up to match while the tongues are equipped with 3M backdrops and pops of orange atop its Jumpman insignias and interior linings. Underneath all of that rests drab olive green midsole pieces that are complemented by orange spikes and faint gray speckle details.
Check out a pair from 2006 in the gallery above and look for the retro release to go down sometime during Spring 2024.
Elsewhere in footwear, official images of the Air Jordan 2 "Cement Grey" colorway have emerged.
