Kevin Durant just made Olympic history by winning his fourth gold medal in Men's Basketball, a record for the event. Having won the event in all four of his appearances since 2012, he's cemented himself as a key part of the team's history as his new Nike KD 17 backed his performance throughout the tournament.
Now, as the NBA offseason continues, Durant is gearing up for his next KD 17 drop as the shoe, which released just a few months ago, will be his go-to for the 2024-25 NBA season. This time around, he teamed up with 2021 WNBA MVP Jonquel Jones for a new "Bahamas" iteration that pays homage to her home country. The tropical pair begins with a bright blue upper that is accented by a soft green at the Swooshes and midsole. A bright pink also covers the standard laces while a yellow-green hue adorns the uppermost portion of the midsole. The various islands that comprise the Bahamas are depicted via the heel's debossed detail, completing the design.
At the time of writing, Nike Basketball has not announced this "Bahamas" colorway of the Nike KD 17 by Jonquel Jones. That being said, it is currently anticipated to release on August 29 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at the silhouette's standard starting price of $150 USD.
