This year's Olympic Games in Paris have just come to a close after bringing the world together for 329 events that saw the world's greatest athletes perform at the highest level. This includes a 39-year-old LeBron James who, after committing to assembling a superteam for Team USA after the country was embarrassed by a 4th place finish in last year's FIBA, led his team on an awe-inspiring run to a gold medal.

Facing off against the host country, France, in the Gold Medal Game, James clocked in the most playing time of all players. Not only did he relentlessly pursue the rim, he was also dishing out slick assists to his co-stars such as Stephen Curry, the man who took over the incredible match in its closing minutes. Suiting up for the game, James brought a noticeable confidence to the court as he debuted his upcoming Nike LeBron 22 in an all-gold finish. Presented in a shimmering gold with black detailing -- including at the Swoosh outlines and signature at the heel -- the pair was hard to miss as it glistened for the millions who tuned in to watch the final match, which may have been the last time James will represent Team USA as a player.

At the time of writing, Nike Basketball has not indicated that this golden pair of LeBron 22s will ever be made available to the public. While we expect this iteration of the shoe to remain a PE, stay tuned for updates as it's possible the design -- or an altered version of it -- will release to commemorate King James and Team USA's historic run.
