Kosmos is launching five new games at Gen Con in Indianapolis, Indiana, this weekend.
The Gang is a cooperative poker game based on Texas Hold’em. Players must use limited communication to work together to rank their hands from weakest to strongest to open the bank vault. If they rank their hands incorrectly, they trigger an alarm. To win, the gang of players must crack three vaults without tripping the alarm three times. The game also has mini-expansions, including joker cards and other variants, which are free with purchase.
Masters of Crime is Kosmos’ latest game series where players act as criminal masterminds as they sift through evidence, clues, and puzzles to stay on top of the world of corruption. The games integrate real-world resources including Google Maps, phone numbers, websites and more. The first two editions of Masters of Crime — Vendetta and Shadows — will be available at Gen Con.
Kosmos is also launching three more games at the show: Nunatak, a strategic game where players gather resources and place ice blocks to build a temple for the gods; Belratti, a cooperative party game where players prevent an art forger from sneaking fake paintings into the gallery; and Dodo, a memory game for kids where players navigate a wobbly egg down a mountain by building bridges.
“Our goal for every Gen Con is to provide a unique, thrilling experience for the dedicated fans of both Kosmos and tabletop gaming in general,” says Andrew Quartin, CEO of Thames & Kosmos. “One way we do that is to align our schedule so that we always have a major release just in time for the show. This year, we have five! Many of these games are making the trip straight from the factories to the convention. It’ll be a show unlike any other for us, and we can’t wait to share these incredible games with such a loyal and enthusiastic group of gamers.”
Kosmos is also bringing all four new editions of EXIT: The Game, including The Magical Academy, The Hunt Through Amsterdam, Prison Break, and Riddles in Monsterville, alongside more than 30 previous EXIT games.
Kosmos will be at booth No. 2619 from Aug. 1-4. All games in the Kosmos booth are 10% off at the show while supplies last.
