With the start of the 2024 Olympic Games right around the corner, Nike is feeling the electricity in the air — literally, as it's just announced the rollout of a whopping 55-shoe "Electric Pack." Touching every division of the Swoosh's footwear offerings from Nike SB to Nike Running, Nike Sportswear and Nike Basketball, the "Electric Pack" celebrates both Tinker Hatfield's famed "Safari" print (which Nike is calling "Ostrich" here) that debuted on the Air Safari in 1987 and the brand's familiar "Total Orange" performance hue.
Standouts from the "Electric Pack" include a striking take on the Alphafly 3, a bold iteration of the Air Max Dn and a crisp version of the Pegasus 41. There are also a swath of cleats for sports from soccer to baseball and football and a duo of dashing sneakers from Nike SB: the SB Dunk Low and the SB PS8. Two futuristic eyewear styles dubbed the "Athena" and the "Zeus," a nod to two Grecian gods of lore and the Olympics' origins in Greece, were previously revealed and are set to release alongside the pack as well.
“We wanted to take something you wouldn’t think about in the context of performance — the 'Safari' pattern — and create an artifact that signaled this new era of sport,” says Caroline Abero, a senior director of women's footwear and apparel at Nike. “We’re bringing sport and culture together on the playing field and creating a new look of sport for the next generation.”
All 55 "Electric Pack" styles are available via the Nike webstore now.
