One of the biggest headlines in NCAA Football last season was Deion Sanders taking over as the head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes. The start of his regime was something to behold, pivoting a team that had just won one game the season prior into a ranked team in week 4 after starting 3-0. Before the season started, it was reported that Sanders has re-signed with Nike, renewing a partnership that introduced one of the Swoosh's most popular training series -- the Diamond Turf line.
Now, after teasing special "PRIMES" inspired by his OG Air DT Max '96 back in September, the latter is set to make a return. Officially unveiled by the Swoosh, the Air DT Max '96 is back in its original white, black and gold colorway that was last spotted in 2018 -- with a couple of new details. The heel tab has been adorned with a new "PRIME" hit while the packaging, which may be a friends and family-exclusive element, features the same "PRIME" motif at the exterior and one of Sanders' famous quotes at the interior.
At the time of writing, no release details regarding the return of Deion Sanders' Nike Air DT Max '96 have been disclosed by Coach Prime and Nike. Stay tuned for updates as the much-anticipated design is likely to land on shelves once again later this year via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $170 USD.
